OUAS and CSI Team Up!

As many of you know, OUAS is teaming up with CSI to bring you four gorgeous color palettes and sketches and lots of inspiration. I was lucky to work with the palette and sketch below for the fourth week.

I'll admit I was a little intimidated with the idea of creating based on color but it was actually liberating! I began by looking through my stash and pulled a bunch of Webster's Pages goodies I thought would work with the palette and the page came together rather quickly!

I think this is the first laout I make of myself and I thought it was time, especially because of the theme, lessons learned, or as CSI calls it, testimony. Here's a few close-ups...

I hope you's inspired to create! This challenge is due by October 7th, I encourage you to stop by OUAS and CSI and play along!

Good Times

This month's sketch over at Once Upon a Sketch is beautiful and inspiring; the theme is seasons and I'm excited to share with you my sample for the reveal...

I used a mix of Seaside Retreat and Yacht Club from Webster's Pages to create my layout. Seaside Retreat is one of my all time favorite collections from Webster's Pages. I created a layout, an altered canvas and a mini album with it when it was first released and I was happy to create with it again, it felt good to dig into my stash and use up my supplies!

As you know, OUAS is all about telling a story so journaling is very important. My journaling is hidden in a folded tag in the lower left corner of the photo. I made a dangly charm as a pull to go with it. In the back of the tag, I wrote about how much I love summer because it is the time of the year when I'm off work and able to spend more time with my children. Of course, the warm sunny days don't hurt either!

Here's a couple of close-ups...

Imaginarium Designs generously sent me a hefty supply of their wonderful chipboard (thanks ID!), here is one of the titles painted and inked to coordinate with the rest of the page.

I hope you're inspired to play along, here's the sketch sure to get your creative juices flowing!

Till next time, have a wonderful evening!!!

The Smile That Melts My Heart

Happy Monday to you all! I normally don't have time to part take challenges but since I'm off from work for the summer, I thought I'd play along with Webster's Pages 'We Love Our Guys' challenge. I was excited to use the Game On collection to scrap some photos of Dylan I recently took while on vacation. This is what I created...

This is the most adorable collection and I think I got a little carried away with all the cute embellishments, the result reminds me of a collage but I'm quite pleased with it :)

Thanks so much for visiting today, have a wonderful week!

Girlie Reveal for MCS!

Hi there! I have a very girlie post for you today to share my projects with this month's LE kit from My Creative Scrapbook. This kit is totally luscious with gorgeous flowers and the frilly and feminine collection Girl Land by Webster's Pages. These are the layouts I created...

The first page is titled Always My Girl, stay tuned, I actually have a step-by-step tutorial for this layout!

Next up is Girlie Girl, lots of fussy cutting, stitching and misting here, really fun!

And lastly, a whimsical page titled You Are My Sunshine. I know this photo is really grainy but I love capturing candid shots of Emily running around in the yard!

I also went ahead and created a card. This kit is perfect for card makers too!

Here's a look at the kit right out of the box, so much gorgeousness here!

Thanks so much for your visit today! Be sure to visit My Creative Scrapbook for more amazing inspiration from the DT and your chance to win fabulous goodies!

My Creative Scrapbook May Reveal

It's time for another reveal from My Creative Scrapbook. Our kits seem to be getting bigger and bigger and the LE kit this month is bursting at the seams with the most beautiful papers, flowers and metal embellishments, seriously, this one is to die for...it features Webster's Pages Everyday Poetry collection!

For my first layout, I scrapped a photo I took recently of my two children. It's not a great photo as it was taken indoors but I rarely get them to pose for a picture at the same time so I take what I can get.

To my surprise and delight, this layout is being featured this week on the Webster's Pages Ning site as Banner of the Week, a true honor as I'm a huge fan!

Here's a few close-ups...

For my next layout, I chose the papers and elements to complement this photo taken on Easter Sunday last month. I found this collection so fresh and beautiful, really easy to work with!

And now a closer look...

I think this next page is my favorite of the release, maybe because I love this photo so much!

What I like most about Webster's Pages is that it gives you the ability to cut out all the beautiful elements to further decorate your pages. I popped up my cut outs using cardboard!

My last page using this kit. I was able to add plenty of layers of papers and embellishments and still have a pile of leftovers!

Here's a look at this gorgeous kit.

I hope I inspired you today, but for more inspiration, head over to My Creative Scrapbook, DT gallery and get ready to drool, those girls really rocked this month's kits!

Hugs,
Jolaine
