Brand New Kit From MCS!

Happy Saturday! I'm very excited to share some happy, scrappy news, My Creative Scrapbook has launched a band-new kit for Off The Page projects that I know you are all going to love.

The first kit features gorgeous Melissa Frances hardware, Leaky Shed Studio chipboard, a full-sized bottle of Glimmer Mist, and lots of beautiful Prima flowers and resin pieces. I created wall hanging with my kit...

I also used a few pieces from my LE Kit. This project would make a wonderful wedding present, or beautiful addition to your family room! Here's a closer look at each of the panels...

Here is what's included in this awesome kit,

I hope you're able to pick up a kit, these are available in limited quantities and I know many of you are starting to think about handmade holiday presents.

Thanks so much for your visit today, we're having a three day weekend and I'm looking forward to getting some rest and doing some scrapping!

Shabby Chic November Memories

Hello everyone! I hope you are all safe and sound. As you probably know, the north east of the United States fell victim of hurricane Sandy. My heart goes out to all of those affected by this horrible storm. My family and I were lucky not to have much damage to our house. We also lost power for a few days but are thankful to be safe and sound. My blessings and good wishes go to all who suffered and still suffering. If you are able to, please help any way you can, every little bit helps.

On a happier note, My Creative Scrapbook is happy to announce its line-up of fabulous November kits. I was fortunate to create with the gorgeous LE kit which features the beautiful and shabby chic Prima Tea-Thyme collection along with gorgeous flowers and resin embellies.

My first layout uses a photo of my kids I recently took while apple picking. Though this is not a themed kit, the warm colors make it perfect to scrap fall family photos. Here's a closer look...

For my next page, I did a little masking and combined it with a black and white photo of the same day. Absolutely love the colors in this kit!

My third layout is fairly simple. The kit includes a pack of Artisan square elements from Pink Paislee that make it a breeze to complete your page.

I did a bit of stamping on the background to add interest while keeping my design simple.

Finally, I created a tag using a piece of recycled corrugated cardboard and my new favorite photo of the kids.

Here's a look at the entire LE kit, there's so much to love here!

So Happy!

The August sketch challenge over at My Creative Sketches is now live and both, the sketch and the prize up for grabs, is truly amazing! For this reveal, I played with the En Francais collection By Prima to make this masculine layout of my son.

You may click the button above to pin this image. About the layout, I love the burgundy and blue hues in these papers and thought they were perfect to pair up with this cute photo of Dylan I recently took while on vacation. Here's a closer look...

I frayed a piece of denin that I cut out of an old pair of jeans and used it as a layer under the photo. I also used the fibers to add dimension and the zipper as an added detail.

I hope you can take the time to play along with us at My Creative Sketches. The winner is always chosen at random and the prizes are yummy! Here's the sketch to help you along...

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a happy, scrappy week!!!

It's Reveal Time!

Good morning friends! I hope you all had a great weekend. I'm back with the full reveal from My Creative Scrapbook for the month of August. If you like Prima (and seriously, who doesn't, LOL), this month's LE kit is for you! First off is the gorgeous papers from the Fairy Belle collection, then beautiful flowers and vines, and let's not forget the stunning vintage trinkets, plus so much more! This kit is to die for!!!!

During my recent trip to Punta Cana, we got to attend the most beautiful wedding on the beach. The bride (my husband's cousin) looked stunning and I created this layout as a present for her.

To make it easier for her to display it in a tabletop easel, I mounted the layout on chipboard.

One of the vintage trinkets on the kit is a working locket. I thought it was the perfect addition to this page as the bride can add the wedding date of little photos of her and the groom here.

Another page using the beautiful papers and flowers in the kit, notice the pretty lace and bling, swoon!

Here's a closer look...

And another layout. This one has lots of fussy cutting to play up the fairy theme. I also incorporated one of Emily's favorite quotes from the Peter Pan movie, "Faith, trust and pixie dust".

To create the lattice background, I used my craft knife to follow the design on the paper, then inked around it to make the cut outs stand out a bit.

Here's a few more close ups,

To go along with the layout I'm gifting my husband's cousin, I made this coordinating card.

I added stitching and liquid pearls using my Viva pen, plus more of those beautiful trinkets :)

I also finished the inside of the card to make it more special.

I hope you enjoyed my creations with this kit, here's a look at the bundle of goodies...

Thanks so much for joining me today. Head over to My Creative Scrapbook to see what the rest of the talented DT created with this and the other kits available at MCS!
