MCS October Reveal

My Creative Scrapbook has done it again with a very impressive line-up of beautiful kits! I was fortunate to play with the Main and LE kits this month. The main kit has a wonderful mix of papers and embellies by Teresa Collins, Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye paired with pretty Prima flowers and lush ribbon. These are my creations with the main kit...

I just loved this color palette, perfect for black and white photos and to documents family events. I had fun incorporating texture with my mediums and stamps, not too much, just enough to add some interest to the papers :)

For my next LO, I dug out an old baby photo of Dylan, I miss those days so much! The MME papers were just perfect for a boy layout!

For the background of this page, I added gesso and some paint splatters, then I tried something new and really loved the result. To create the circles on my page, I used the rim of a plastic cup as a stamp, it worked like a charm!

A couple of more close-ups...

My last layout is another monochromatic creation, this time to include a beautiful photo of my husband's cousin who recently got married. This kit is very versatil and would definitely work with family pictures as well as masculine or heritage photos.

I also created a thank you card, the gold and ivory hues are just gorgeous!

Here's a look at this fantastic kit,

I'll be back later this week to share my creations with the equally gorgeous LE kit, in the mean time, head over to My Creative Scrapbook to see what the rest of the DT created and to order kit of your own!

Follow Your Heart, Be Happy

Hello again, I'm back to share my projects with the wonderful LE kit this month from My Creative Scrapbook. The featured collection this time around is the stunning Follow Your Heart, Be Happy by My Mind's Eye but it doesn't stop there, there's also a ton of beautiful embellishments, laces and flowers from Prima and Kaisercraft!

Here's my first page, lots of layering and misting here! I really like the shabby colors in this kit and the collage images in the papers, very easy to work with!

I misted the background paper slightly with Glimmer Mist in the Flower Power color then splattered droplets of Trunk Bay for a touch of turquoise.

My next page is pretty simple. I just added some punched paper strips from white cardstock and a bit of stamping using bubble wrap.

And my last page... I also did lot of layering here. I love this photo of Emily running in and out of the lake and thought it went well with the whole 'follow your heart, be happy' theme.

The inking you see in the background was achieved by sponging Frayed Burlap Distress Ink over a metallic mesh packaging.

My last project with this kit is this shabby chic tag, the colors were just calling for it!

I've been enjoying making tags lately. I cut the base out of chipboard so it could be sturdy enough to hold all those wonderful embellishments.

That's all from me today! Thanks again for taking the time visit me. Have a wondeful week!

Hugs,
Jolaine

More MCS Projects

Hey there! I'm back to share the rest of my projects with My Creative Scrapbook's Limited Edition kit. This kit was full of pretty, femenine things such as Glitz Beautiful Dreamer papers, Petaloo flowers, vintage lace and Prima resin pieces.

For my first LO, I created a whimsical page by cutting up one of the Glitz Whatnots and using it as my title/journaling.

I cut up a smaller photo to give the appearance that Emily was about to cross the resin bridge. These embellishments are just so much fun!

The next page came together super quickly thanks to the clear frame included in the kit. I just added a bunch of flowers along with some stitching and a bit of layering.

Here's another one of those Prima resin pieces tucked behing the flowers.

I applied Diamond Stickles on this butterfly to enhance it a little bit.

My third page is full of all things femenine like the Dusty Attic dress form, pretty flowers and pearls.

I gathered the paper here to hide some lace behind the top layer of paper. There's also a touch of crackle paint on the roses.

I also painted the dress form with Crackle Paint in Tattered Rose.

For my last page with this kit, I used a few sheets of My Mind's Eye Lost and Found 2 papers, so cute and fun!

I added some texture and interest with a Prima mask and Golden Molding Paste.

Here's a look at the beautiful LE kit.

Thanks again for your visit. I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by and leaving sweet comments. Have a wonderful, scrappy rest of the week!
