A Very Glitzy Spring

Hello there! Today it's my turn to give this month's challenge a try. The beautiful images in the collage below couldn't be more perfect for spring and using Glitz products made the challenge a breeze.

When I think of spring, I think of pretty flowers and pastel colors so I pulled out some Beautiful Dreamer scraps and came up with this LO.

The photo is very special as this was the first time my daughter attended a father-daughter dance. It was important for me to journal about the event so I tucked a tag behind the photo to hide my journaling.

For my next layout, I played around with the beautiful French Kiss collection. I had been waiting for the perfect photo to use the gorgeous burlap paper!

A few close-ups...

Je T'aime

Did you guys know that Kaisercraft has a monthly sketch challenge? Every Saturday, they provide a beautiful sketch on their blog and you can use either one. I normally don't have time to play along with challenges but I had this Bonjour paper collection in my stash for quite some time and was able to finally use it to create this page.

I simply adored the elegant Paris theme in this collection and tied together with my photo by printing it in black and white and adding a title in French (which means I love you!). Here's a few clos-ups;

Though I think I got a little carried away, my design was based on sketch #2 below.

Thanks so much for your visit today and don't forget to enter my April Giveaway, there's only a few more days left!

My Boy Is Awesome!

Okay, so that's a catchy title, LOL! It's inspired by the paper collection I used to create my layout for this month's sketch over at My Creative Sketches but I do have to say I think my little man IS pretty awesome!

I thought it was time to get a bit grungy with a masculine layout for this month's sketch. The paper collection is appropriately named Awesome by Simple Stories.

Lots of layers of yummy paper on this one. Here's a couple of close-ups.

The fantastic sketch was designed by Tony Rangel based on a layout by the talented Romy Veul (MCS DT member).

Won't you play along with us? The winner is chosen at random, just look at the gorgeous prize up for grabs

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope to see a gorgeous creation by you among the entries at My Creative Sketches!

Happy Easter and a DOUBLE Giveaway!

Hello friends! Many blessings for you and your family on this glorious Easter day. This has been such a beautiful weekend that I thought I'd top it off with a double giveaway!

Giveaway #1 includes a TON of Glitz embellishments. Sorry for the glare in the photo, there really isn't any good way to photograph packaging, is there? I've included all the coordinating embellishments and chipboard albums for the Vintage Blue, Beautiful Dreamer and Dance in Sunshine collections in one prize pack.

Giveaway #2 has 5 packages of Thickers plus a little bit of everything, from a heart-shaped acrylic album to flowers to metal accents.

Before I leave, I can't resist sharing with you some photos from our Easter weekend. The weather was fantastic so it was easy to enjoy the traditional activities...

Yesterday, the kids had a ball dyeing eggs!

They also helped me bake (and eat) a delicious chocolate cake...

Then today, after brunch I managed to get some pretty good shots of Emily. Dylan was in no mood for pictures!

Ahh, the bubbles in the Easter baskets are always my favorite, it's a sure sign warmer weather is ahead!

Phew, that's a lot of pictures!!! Thanks for letting me indulge, LOL!

Back to the giveaway, I'll draw two winners on the last day of the month and anounce it here on May 1st. Simply leave a comment under this post to be entered (be sure to be a subscriber!). Good luck everyone!

A Spring Song

Happy spring all! Can you believe it's April already?! We're now enjoying longer and warmer days, flowers are starting to bloom, and the kids can finally leave that heavy coat at home. With the beautiful spring days, also come a beautiful array of kits over at My Creative Scrapbook. Since my life has become a bit more hectic, I'll be working with just one kit and this month I was fortunate enough to design with the stunning LE Kit featuring Prima Songbird collection.

Here are my creations with this kit...

This LO was created using corrugated cardboard as a foundation. I used the box of an old 7 Gypsies printers tray I had in my stash.

For my next page, I scrapped photos taken during last year's Easter egg hunt. The pastel colored papers and flowers are perfect for any kind of spring project.

This one turned out kind of artsy don't you think? The BW photo and monochromatic color palette seemed like a good combination in my head.

Lastly, a very simple page with lots of layers of pretty paper and flowers. This kit was filled to the brim with pretty embellishments!

Be sure to check the rest of the DT beautiful creations with this month's kits, you will be blown away!

Thanks for your visit today, I appreciate you taking the time and any sweet comment you might leave.
