Glitz Cashmere Dame

Hello again crafty friends! I'm back to share a couple of layouts I created with the stunning Cashmere Dame collection. This is definitely one of my favorite releases, the colors are just so great and the designs and patterns are as fun as its name! To show the versatility of this collection, I created a Halloween layout.

Both of my kids are still pretty young and they normally go for cute costumes, so I always find it contradictory to scrap their fun Halloween photos using super scary supplies, enter the amazing Honeycomb paper for the traditional touch of black, from there, I just went with red and blue to coordinate with their super heroes photos.

As you can see, I added lots of texture with modeling paste, love that stuff!

My second layout is totally different. This time I combined the red gingham paper with the blue stripes for a soft, feminine look. The banners and pops of yellow add the fun, childish factor.

The white doilies were sprayed with a home-made mist to let them blend a little.

I hope you found inspiration today. Thanks so much for your visit!

Once Upon A Sketch

As you probably know, Once Upon A Sketch Blog is an amazing challenge blog full of gorgeous inspiration and amazing prizes. As DT members, we are not only lucky to work with Nadia's amazing sketches, but we get spoiled with beautiful crafty goodies from all over the world! This month, the danish company Riddersholm Design sent a gorgeous box of Christmas papers, laces and flowers and I was delighted to created my first Christmas layout of the season!

The photo of my kiddies was taken last year while visiting the New York Botanical Gardens during their annual Holiday Train Show. It was an amazing day, the kids were too excited so it was hard to get a good picture but I still wanted to document this wonderful moment.

I cut out some of the tags and tickets from the paper collection... and the beautiful chipboard is from Imaginarium Designs.

Here's the fabulous sketch my layout is based on...

MCS October Reveal

My Creative Scrapbook has done it again with a very impressive line-up of beautiful kits! I was fortunate to play with the Main and LE kits this month. The main kit has a wonderful mix of papers and embellies by Teresa Collins, Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye paired with pretty Prima flowers and lush ribbon. These are my creations with the main kit...

I just loved this color palette, perfect for black and white photos and to documents family events. I had fun incorporating texture with my mediums and stamps, not too much, just enough to add some interest to the papers :)

For my next LO, I dug out an old baby photo of Dylan, I miss those days so much! The MME papers were just perfect for a boy layout!

For the background of this page, I added gesso and some paint splatters, then I tried something new and really loved the result. To create the circles on my page, I used the rim of a plastic cup as a stamp, it worked like a charm!

A couple of more close-ups...

My last layout is another monochromatic creation, this time to include a beautiful photo of my husband's cousin who recently got married. This kit is very versatil and would definitely work with family pictures as well as masculine or heritage photos.

I also created a thank you card, the gold and ivory hues are just gorgeous!

Here's a look at this fantastic kit,

I'll be back later this week to share my creations with the equally gorgeous LE kit, in the mean time, head over to My Creative Scrapbook to see what the rest of the DT created and to order kit of your own!
